While fishing in whakatane last christmas i was humiliated by a couple of buddies for using soft plastics. That **** doesnt work, put your trout rod away and my favourite insult " rubbers are for your c-ock not rod "...

Well today i get a call, fishing is going off snapper to 4kgs and bulk terakihi at matata and off the pump shed.Sweet i thought im off on sat to whakatane quick call to mum at whakatane to say im on my way home for the weekend.Well she tells me the boys have been around to borrow your rod and some packets of bait.
Yep they used the soft bait set up i  left down there and cleaned up 3 days in a row. 1 pkt chartruse mullets= 9 snapper 11 terakihi . Seems that the reason to try was the lack of money to buy bait and beer resulted in the purchase of beer only and the "borrowing" of my rig being that it would not cost a cent.Tonite i got a text; bring more baits and a rod for your self weve got the beer and a feed of white bait. Sounds ok to me im off friday nite..

Rotowarriors, think you mean enemys. Not overly keen on having a enema??.Any way were all loaded up off early sat morn, bloody ak traffic dont want to battle that tonite.

Fish bait, hard call that one for the boys beer usually wins down there , catch a kahawai or two  off the bar for bait. (ive brought them a box as well) They are a good bunch of guys even tho they,ve never been further north than tauranga, love to take the piss out of aucklanders (me)
