Ahhh, so what's happening? I missed the first one two weeks ago due to a prior appointment. As Steps knows the Thursday just gone I was undergoing eye surgery but yeah I probably arranged that to yet again dodge the dreaded tie off knowing full well I would loose.

Anyway, Steps gave me a big telling off for bringing up my knots again in a recent post where I was only trying to help him so I'm surprised to see him answer this.

Naughty Steps! Big smile

Steps, firstly are you laying down a glove for the challenge, or is it a clove, as in a clove of garlic?  I know you and smudge both part take in the gardening/ vege growing forum on here. Although growing verges and garlic specifically  is possibly less relevant to fishing than knot tying.
Steps, also if you want a second for  this knot tying comp,  I'm happy to come down south ways and support you, just so there’s no monkey business.
Sure Smudge will have a few supporters in his corner, but I always enjoyed your posts and don’t really  want to see you in the sinbin, and Smudge has been posting a lot of stuff of late, so we have probably seen best of it for a while Smile

Steps you have trouble letting go. If I was to tell you  my version of the truth you would be unbearable. Another hidden post. Yo0u want a one eyed tie off? I'll wear a patch. I'm sorry to make the excuse after having my eye operated on four hours earlier. Weak Ouch you win that one.

Anyway. Change tack Steps or you'll be in the bin for two weeks. We will still do the tie off though.

No. I'm going to abandon this one. I tried last Thursday but  was met with some resistance because my approach wasn't scientific enough and I hadn't arranged a knot tester and had no adjudicator. Plus I tied a knot that wasn't on the plan. It's not going to happen as I'm afraid we're at a stalemate. I left some traces behind  for Steps to test anyway but he refused to take them because I failed to meet his standards. Fair enough, I am pretty rough after all Big smile
