Hey Team,

I've been looking around trying to find a very light weight OVERHEAD rod to set up as a second rig for fishing 1kg mono.

Ideal length for the way we operate, is around 5'6 - 6 foot, and would be 2-4kg rated, or PE0.8-1.5 if using that form of measurement.

Our current Abu Garcia PE0.8-1.5 overhead rod is epic (and was extremely well priced when purchased) but seemingly impossible to find now.

I already have another Okuma Citrex baitcaster ready to match it with.

Budget - under $200 hopefully?

Cheers
Speedy

Mike, I have a 0.4--1 Veritas if you can't find what you're looking for.

Heya Bill Smile

Is that an older overhead model? At that weight I'd be guessing it could be perfect. Probably very similar to the 0.8-1.5 that we have currently - which we love...

What length is that one?

Mike, it's a fairly new model, probably about 4-5 years old & hardly used.

What did you settle on Mike?

I played around with 1kg string some 35 years ago in the NW of Western Australia.  After trying a few things I found SW flies were the go to.  Fit for purposes rods and reels were hard to come by then.
