Just interested to know if anyone has used these lines in nz waters and how they perform. Website says can use in temps from 20 degrees which is slightly above or at the top end of our range.

They're fine in most NZ temps. They can loose a lot of suppleness in cold weather, but are still usable. To improve their performance on a cold winters day store the reel in a hotwater cupboard overnight before you go fishing. Dashboard of your car with heater turned on works well too.

Seawater temps are usually in your favour. Leaving the reel outside on a cold winters morning is the killer. Similarly, I wouldn't use them in freshwater in wintertime. Winter freshwater temps are too cold.

Yea as Craig said.  The tropical style lines are just made with plastics that don't turn to jelly when it gets hot.   They become a bit stiff when you use them in typical NZ temp waters.

Iv got one line that is a tropical.   A bonefish tapper.  Love it, but it only comes out when I go overseas otherwise its a coiled springLOL
