Laminated pine 1.8m by 30 cm $23, 1.4 mtr 90cm piece of dress pine $6, Gorilla glue $5.60, some screws had lying around. Plus was given spare rod holders, thanks Greg.
Tools drill, hole saw, and drill bits, including hex head driver, saw and mitre box.
Plus spare time on a Sunday. Only had five rod holders hence the design.

Nice handiwork, mate. I like the way you put the pieces on the bottom to keep the base off the ground.
The middle holder can be for the rod with the Alvey!!

cheers TK , the bottom pieces also there as stopper for the butts and gimbles,  as plastic rod holders were hollow at bottom, ..... so will keep them off carpet or more likely concrete in garage, as wife said is not wanting my new home constructed furniture in lounge.
