Top water Lures are mostly designed to swim/wobble/curvey/wavey, etc, with a treble in the middle as a balance point for the lure.

Other lures are average with singles as many folk say, but I think a single on the tail of a TW lure is ok.

The big Nomads like singles on each...horses for courses perhaps?

Pondering it - I think is is a weight thing as far as trolling goes. If you troll slow (6knts or less) I have seen no difference. Once you get near their limit they get a bit wobbly on doubles. When I troll rapalas I like to do them fast rather than slower. I have come to the conclusion the difference is the lower weight under the lure. They are finely tuned. I have tweeked untold otherwise rejects to get them to swim OK. But it is a finely balanced proposition . So now I am contemplating how to add a small amt of weight to the underside when using doubles.
