The Albies are in pretty close out west off Port Waikato right now, at the 40m mark

Temp around 19 - 20 degrees. Found them in the same area again on Saturday just gone

Keith - is it the norm to get Albacore in New Plymouth? I suppose it's not actually that much further down the coast really is it?

We caught a couple at 65m, only trolled for a short time and got a double hook up. Thanks for the heads up Coxie. We were slightly south of the bar and temp was 19.8

The SST was yellow down here before Christmas but this wind and a significant upwelling of cold has played havoc with our water temp.

In answer to your question Coxie, enough for the commercials to move down here, remembering we are the next safe harbour south of Manukau.
