As a rough guide 350m is usually plenty if you are fishing around 100m. Rods usually have a PE rating which is probably more to do with the breaking strain of the line than the diameter of the line . As a very rough guide multiply the PE number by 10 to get the breaking strain of the line however itโs worth checking what individual lines are rated at as PE5 can be anything from 30 -70lb although generally they break above 50lb . |
