True catchelot,

Not as skilled a poster as you.
We all thank you for your tremendous and valued input.
And me especially for your help when I needed it.

I'm human, do have foibles .

Not in crowd though.

Unless the in crowd is game fishing in NZ.

Just wind clock forward, tell yourself it's 1 January tomorrow and go snag yourself a stickface.
Those that say it can't be done are being overtaken by those doing it.

Mattoo, I’m confused (normally your posts are more lucid) come to Lincoln Rd coffee club next week and I’ll shout you a coffee and you can explain what “tick “” means in confidence, or not and we can just talk crap.

Ok ,
Relief for some, I told you so for others and the good oil for some.

You'll be dissapointed.

Ynot was the only one on target but most on the money.

I can't predict the way open forums go and I truly was fascinated to watch its progression.

Apologies to all for my indulgence.

I was looking for a way to begin the countdown for the gamefish season.

Which will be early this season by the way and probably epic if there's enough fish left in the ocean, bait and pelagics I mean.

I have been putting up posts at this time of year to create engagement and excitement in this part of the forum prior to the season kicking off.

It's part of my routine to also help me brush up on the to do list which for me I prepped four months ago.

I have time on my hands so this post inflicts my spare time on you.

Apologies.

Still I'm excited about our upcoming season.
For me it's an opportunity to nail my last fish on my nz bucket list of pelagics.
It's my toughest target ever.
I've spent a lot of time preparing mentally and physically for this one.

I honestly believe I will end up cheating on this angling challenge and end up putting the rod in the rod holder just to capture this behometh.

I'll be gutted, but I will have to work within the realms now of what my body can do.

Not impressed with getting older.

Never thought of nailing it sooner, so that's on me.

Any way it's,

Tick Ticck Tocck,

I have a dodgy clock.

Thanks for your input,

From my point your responses have been fascinating and hilarious.

Really appreciate your input and hope that satisfies or not your views.

Good for you Matoo.
Some people hardly know they are alive. Others can't fit enough in the day - even if it is preparing for the next fishing adventure.
I 'm with you.Tick.
Except I fill in the off-time doing same in a different zone.
currently land bound - last week or more - 20+ knts blowing past my door. Done what I can in limited way. And refreshed all my gear, rigged some more lures, serviced the motor, trailer  etc... But like you - counting. Next week wind dropping. Game on.
Regards

Keep up the good work you salty sea dog scoundrel. You had us all guessing. You have a mischievous side for sure, but I for one love reading your stuff. Good luck for the season ahead and thanks for the fun.

I've learnt a LOT from this forum. A great pool of knowledge for someone who knew zero about gamefishing a few yrs back and is basically totally self taught. So I have relied on advice from here as far back as fitting outriggers to my boat.
Thanks for the help guys, and I enjoy the forum and the members.
Tock.

That's the essence of the forum. People sharing information and what works for them.

Tick tick,

As the clock ticks the time gets closer.

For me this weekend looks like a starter for ten to chase my last fish.

The plan which is forecasting ahead is to go north and hunt for a sword.
Jakepitsville is my second and lead.

His area knowledge is greater than mine and he has put more genuine hours in than I.

So, we will put some lines in the water and watch the rod to shimmer.
