Hi all,
Recently purchased a 3.8metre inflatable and I am in the market for a suitable outboard. Don’t have a trailer so the outboard will need to be easily removed and reasonably light. Want to be able to spend a decent day of fishing on the boat. Was looking at outboards around the 15hp range but not too sure about brands/models or if this is a suitable motor size. Will generally be fishing with 2-3 people on the boat. Any advice/tips will be greatly appreciated, Cheers.

I’ve got a 3.8metre Arancia IRB and I run a 30hp Merc.

It weighs around 50kg so is manageable lifting on and off by yourself with a bit of effort!...or easy with a mate.

I reckon if you’re going to have 3 POB regularly you’ll need the 30 horsepower.
