Hey team

I'm looking for a biggish reel I can use for deep water jigging and deep dropping. Looking for something that will hold around 500m of PE 5/6.

Thinking about a Talica 16 new but want wanted to see what was out there in the 2nd hand market. Anyone got anything JM, Maxel, Talica or the likes?

there's a Maxel Transformer F60H on trademe (comes with JM rod) $550 closes this arvo (not mine)

Did you see the Ocea Jigger 4000p combos for sale on here?


capacity of PE5 is 550m.

I think the capacity is wrong mate. The 4000p will hold 400m of pe6 so cant see it holding 550m of pe5.
You need a 5000p model, they hold 500m of pe6

See capacity table.

Might be slightly over stated, Ive spooled my 4000 with PE8 and it took just shy of 300m.

So 290m of PE8 @ 0.47mm dia = 470m of PE5 @ 0.37mm dia
