They travel north feeding up before returning down south again. There has already been reports of fish seen of the Rangatiras so they will be of the back of Mayor Is now. Last year there was a big school of fish in 700-900m just inside the Alderman Knolls for a 2 week period(about a 25nm run out from Whangamata) That is probably the closest they come to our shores, mostly they are further out at West or East Ngatoro knolls. I will post on here when the fish arrive but next full moon in 3 weeks should be a good time Lets hope the weather plays ball |
