A 74 Kg YFT also caught at Raglan on Saturday.
Must be a school of decent sized yft in the area.

The amazing run of southern blue fin tuna continues right along the taranaki coast line. Not big ones but seem to average 10 to 12kg.Great eating all the same and a novelty to catch them as close as 20m deep. Also had a reliable report of a marlin coming in for a look at a mates tuna lures down here in Opunake.60km south of New plymouth.

Great to see they are coming in close.
New Plymouth the new Tuna capital of NZ.
Went out trolling yesterday on the water at 6.30am ond aff at 5.30pm. Went to 100m and ended up around 270m. No action for us.
Stopped at 47m on the way in, picked up 7 good sized Gurnard.

Yes, MJ charters got Albies in 45m off the islands this morning (Sunday). Also seen at 60m mark, so, yes, they are here and close.
