Looking for insight into good moorings for overnighting at White Island.
Just cruising in my now sweetas pimped out Southern 755 HT0!

never done it myself but ive heard its sensible not to park up in the lee (due to toxic fumes)

Yeah watch the wind forecast, you don't want to end up in the lee, not only fumes, but the bigger issue is ash, which takes the nice shiny gold plating off your reels.

factory Bay is generally a good anchorage, but if you have a anything from the south west quarter the next bay to the east is nice and sheltered behind the big rock.
