Check out this quick video of Dad showing how to pull the skin off Trevally. Heaps easier than trying to skin it with a knife if you’re going to pan fry it...

Gurnard top to bottom.
Wonder how many other species (snapper? Kingfish?) would work on.

Yeah dunno - I've tried peeling a few others but with no luck. Its incredible how strong that 'skin / scale' layer of the trevally is...

Last trev we got,had it smoked by the smokehouse in coromandel.2.5kg.Didnt make it back to the camp sight.Boy and I err well you know ate it on the way and stop for a beer or 2.

Next time I will it.
