Abu Garcia Revo Inshore 40 Spinning Reel


Any thoughts +ve or -ve on this reel for softbaiting (or micro-jigs even)?

They are on special today at MD for $149 (down from $349).

I'm thinking of it as a spare for the tackle bag - 'cos, you know, you never know...

I don't 'need' it but I've got the fever.

Oh well, Went by and called-in to MD this afternoon. Got to hold one and get a feel for the rotor, bail and drag etc. Nice little reel and can be run as a lefty which suits me. 7 bearings (6 x S/S HCPR and 1 x Roller brg) Alloy body and super smooth gearing. Carbon Matrix drag washers.

Now, I'm no expert but this seems a nice reel for the money and so I bought one. They spooled it with braid for me and I'm delighted with the deal and the service.

The price is on for another few hours so if you want a bargain...

Like I said, I don't 'need' it but it's a good back-up to my beloved Daiwa. Smile
