Do you know if the gears will be interchangeable between standard and high speed models?
I have the 8500 that i use for top water and have always thought it would be nice to have a higher retrieve.

Hi l_t_s

The Slammer HS gear and pinion can fit the standard Slammer, however you won’t gain much inches per turn because the spool on the Slammer HS is larger which helps gain more ipt.  I would recommend if you can to just purchase the complete Slammer HS.
