I had a boat (frewza F14) stolen from near Rotorua, a couple of years ago. Had a ring from constable someoneorother, Taranaki. Said they have information that a boat there's stolen. I described things about my boat, and its certainly my old boat - been painted white apparently. They have recovered it, and expect to charge someone with receiving stolen goods. Will lose the boat as its owned now by AMI insurance.
Bloody good that its been recovered. Wouldn't it be great if the persons (arseholes) that pinched it are found.

Wow, good to see the follow up. I bet it's a **** heap now though. It will be pretty distinctive with a crappy white paint job but hopefully the baddies will go to jail

Interesting whats been done to it -
- same Honda 50hp motor, same serial number!
- same trailer - tried to camouflage it by removing the makers label and grinding off the welded serial number, but maker Prescott's clearly visible on the coupling lever.
- boat painted (poorly) white upper.
- changed make from Frewza to Stabi 1410 - smart as they are virtually identical - but the Stabi sign doesn't look quite right.
- removed my anchor drum winch, but left an obvious circuit breaker for it.
- removed both front seats pedestals; possibly don't want seats.
Easy to identify.

Wouldn't surprise me, now the police have done a great job, the court will slap on a huge sentence like community service.

Judges are generally soft on criminals. - its no surprise crime is flourishing.

Do you intend attending the court procedure Rex?
Eye balling the scum would be some sort of satisfaction?

Probably not - assuming it will be New Plymouth.
