Hey all, we have had fishing Kayaks for a while and haven't used them for a long time. We would like to get back into fishing but don't know where abouts to go in the harbor. We are all prepared but don't know where the fish are xD, We have fished in the harbor many of times before, but haven't had much luck. We are planning to launch at Sulfur point but dont know where to go. A little help would be much appreciated Smile

I'm A Keen Fisher Woman and fisher the inner tauranga Harbor Love taking the Yak around matapihi Bridge and towards Maungatapu

Do you get much around the Maungatapu / Matapihi area ? Ive fished the channel opposite the strand before and caught Kahawai landbased and from kayak

Head under the maungatapu bridge, cast towards the pillers of the bridge, nice sized Kingis, kahawai, go further up towards the stadium and few pannie snappers and trevally in the shallows
