hi I am after some info looking for some new spots in northland for fishing with my kontiki and was wondering if any one fished the Hokianga Harbour thanks aaron

I wouldn't recommend setting a Kontiki in any of the West Coast harbours.

Current in the Hoki is particularly strong due to it being so narrow and going a long way inland.

I have heard of 2 different people attempting to use Kontikis in the Manukau and both were lost to the current.

hope this helps but I would stick to the coasts
