Wildfox you lucky thing. Lissenung island is a awesome spot and have stayed there a few times for work. actually all of Kavieng is a mind blow.

That island did get robbed a week before I got there once - 2 boats of armed rascals robbed everyone staying but they didn't kill anyone which you got to be happy about.
Do they still have that dog that waits on the beach for the turtle every day at 4pm? then swims out and plays for an hour. amazing two different species interacting like that.
Just talking about it makes me want to go again but back in NZ this weekend maybe in a fortnight.

Yea its an awesome place cant wait to go back and explore more of PNG!. yea they still do. thats not good, me and a mate paddle to the small island on the left from where the boats dock and there was a noose hanging in the trees machete marks all up the tree. pretty crazy stuff so we baled pretty fast haha. Prepare for the the NZ cold haha. the best bit apart from the diving was the amazing food and the local staff especially tame the dive guide!
