A marlin was caught off the Manukau on Friday. Was in 55m on a live bait while snapper fishing. Nice bonus.

Let's get this one up and running again. Here's an early season teaser: CSFC boat 'From a Distance' landed a 50kg yellow fin tuna today. I didn't get a pic sorry but I'm sure one will appear on our club fb page pretty soon and I'll post that up. It was caught just past 330m. No lure details as I wasn't the weighmaster for this one but I did see it. I was thinking 50, then as I stepped out of the ute the weighmaster calls 50! Pretty easy to say now Smudge!

YFT is my bucket list fish, I have wanted one since i was a little kid. Hopefully one day!

Yes. With a new motor on our old tub, I'm very keen to put in some gamefishing hours this year.

I've never had the rage to go that deep on my boat, but I'm sure it's well within reach now. I know it's over 20 nautical miles and Matoo has been there done that so I'd go with 25
