Tagged a marlin first thing this morning. Also out yesterday Did both days solo but got mate to jump on and help release fish tbis morning. Nice strippee maybe 90kg Took aloha lure hardly used. Only had lure in water 5 minutes this morning and marlin straight to the new lure But never saw another for rest of day. Lots skippies around.

Why wouldn’t you put card in? No point in tagging it if not, do you need to call fish in if you tag it? Or not in a comp?

Not in comp was girls comp this weekend, went to club this morning but was closed. Might submit copy of card to them electronically and see what they say. No big deal either way. Fish swam away healthy. But guess should have tag recorded for stats.

Hell yeah Shane very well done SOLO. I know you put the effort in so well deserved. Congrats. Lets hope this is the start of a run, with a few more around than was about a week or so ago.

Tag and catch accepted by club. Thanks for encouraging me to submit card. Was helped we had photo and witness who came aboard from another boat to assist. Not easy to play, tag £ release and photo a fish by myself.. and not first time. But good to have assistance and witnesses in circumstances. Note to myself to submit catch card before celebrating in future.
