If anyone catches a fish out of tuts with a Pakula medium Brad J and 100m+ of line, let me know (you can keep the lure, just interesting to know). Mate had it on and we watched the fish run across the back of the boat and the hollow ace hit the side of the roller guide and pinged off. He almost cried... was in 400m east of Brett.

Any reports Poor Knights area? Planing to tow some plastic next Tuesday and Wednesday. First trip of the season.Also whats the best vhf chat channel up that way?
Channel 7. loads of fish caught tho a bit quieter recently. Water about 21. Green in toward oceans. We had a good run over New year's. Plenty of skippies scattered around. Yft up to xl size.

just fished two days out of Wangaruru. patches of skippies at 280m out from the v . A yellowfin about 50kg caught at the 350 . nothing for us but skippies. water temp 21.5 c
