Be interesting to see if anyone stays out late to test the low tide bite.

Sounds like just the one fish from down Oceans today despite all the fleet being there. Oh well hope it's not as blowy as the map says tomorrow when I join them.

Few marlin around off oceans today, we had a school about 20 maybe schooled up smashing bait on surface, riding the bow waves of Sambosi and occasionally venturing across the gear but not at all interested in plastic. Biggest school of marlin think I've ever seen.

Yep 2 very frustrating days for us off Oceans. Saw them. baited them. Heard and saw others with more "luck" than us. Managed to loose one on a bait yesterday. Nothing on lures. Helped Sumo lift his on board. Drove off and straight into a workup of Dolphins and Marlin feeding together and no birds. Crazy stuff. Dropped a Premo jack right into them and it wasn't touched. Did everything right and came up empty.

Hard luck Krow. We tried piper livies on saturday... not sure if they work? Interested to know if others have any luck on em we bridled thru eyes and sent them down. Were still alive just when bought em in. Would have used this morning but they became saturdays night's entree. Here's another picture. These were all round boat for half an hour.

Yes dan probably right shame stickbait and stickbait rod was sitting safely at home. These marlin seem to be getting quite a lot smarter hanging with dolphins... possibly interbred ones... we even had one riding along the bow wave just like a dolphin.

Saw a bunch of bait fish speed past just behind the outboard with a marlin right up their backsides.......werent small bait fish either, at least 12 inch long and pretty wide....i suspect large jacks

Had mine on board too but I would have thought dropping a livebait into them would work. Has in the past and others got them that way. Kinda hard to run up with lures and cast a stickbait though the spread. Need to do that from the bow. A bit tricky but have to try next time I guess. Tough with just 2POB too.
