Update on the west coast, Kawhia One Base, 17 marlin, tagged/weighed, the first two days were marginal for fishing.

Kawhia at this stage has has had a great season, more than 50 marlin weighed/tagged so far.

Cheers

Weather has been pretty average ok for mowing lawns, this weekend   looks like a good window of calm seas coming.

To quote NP club, 2 marlin caught yesterday (15/3) and several caught over the last few days. Water is still warm and lots of bait around still. The late season has been good down here.

At the Quota One Base at Kawhia over the weekend, the highlight was a 72kg Yellow Fin, pretty rare these days, there were a couple of marlin caught as well.

Talking to one of the weighmasters, this takes the tally of marlin to 90 for the season, a club record.

Cheers
