Im going to head out to the 1000m on Friday if the weather allows, sst still looks a bit iffy though... Owel it's only fuel. Anyone else thinking of getting out?

anybody have gps coordinates for the alderman pins? gonna be in whiti over some of the holidays so mite head down there and try a few live baits for kingy's, maybe an early marlin

I went out of whangamata yesterday to the aldy rise, saw a free jumper at 800m on they way out and we dropped two big tuna 1 at 1100m and 1 at 900m Heaps or birds scattered around at 500-600 straight behind aldermens

got them off Bathy chart, not exact but very close. Alderman knolls will be on your chart plotter anyway

My fav spot out at the 1000m mark on the rise, good YFT there in the past this time of year....

The best news first – our first marlin report from a team fishing for trevally in 100m out from the Red when a marlin devoured a hapless trev as it was about to be landed. Light gear and sabikis not ideal for marlin...

Our temp gauge is playing up so could not be 100%. It was saying 16.5-17. I checked seasurface sst in the morning which said it was 20 in the afternoon before we went so not sure which is correct.

Took my 5.3mtr stabi to Chile today, Launched Tairua at day light and trolled out to the Aldie rise. water wasnt as good as it was last week, and only 18.2' worked the rise for 3 hours then carried on NE out to 1400m, back into 1000m and headed up towards the hook, Better water in the north, went into 500 and ran down the 500 to the aldies. 110 miles today, 95litres. hand full of albies.
