he had 3 shots same fish he recons and was at 115m, we saw 6, plenty of bait around pays to go looking, went out to main rock and queens, plenty of bait, marlin are feeding on saurie big time, had one nearly hit the boat tossed a bait it was not interested and back to the saurie it went, had a very nice fish up on a bait at 122m water 19.4 some nice blue but alot of green.
another week or 2 and they will be up these ways, May a few yrs back we were getting btween 6 and 9 shots a day remember that Tom? you sat in a chair for 7hrs while we chased marlin, plenty of kings around with guys getting fish to 20k on the marlin gears, will go again very shortly
plenty around for sure, this wee storm will do wonders as well

Nice water and good bait in ~130m off Takau. Water carried on down across the bay, but not as much bait. Also good bait in ~85m off the nine pin, but a little cooler (18.2). Temps out around the 120 - 140 were around 19 deg from about mid Takau east across the bay. Saw both Te Ariki Nui and Reel Passion pulling baits around the Takau bait schools. Looked like they had spotted something.

All still looks good Steve. They gonna be round for while yet. Spent day on g-patch doing stuff. Water awesome on tongue. Marked one in 138 on way in off matai. As Kezz said, Matt raised one on way up from Whangaroa.
