Duno yet ah adam id like to think so but we might just wait till the bluewater classic... getting riggers on monday be sweet wen we get them, over not having them can be pretty fustrating somtimes. You doing the bluewater bro???

innkeeper weighed a fish
still a few about but not like the last couple of days
anesis dropped one
went out with the neighbour for a look this avo - water a 22.5 in the bay and 20.9 out there - the bait is still there but sitting at the 40m mark out in the 135 not the 130 like last couple of days.

tobez..... i hear on good authority that the seiners are heading off around to the west coastThumbs Up not many skippies down our way yet but the ones here are 3-5kg models and heaps of albies. Our Classic starts tomorrow,450 entries at last count, ch 28 is comp channel, good luck to all those fishingThumbs Up

yeah kaveman, all the marlin i have heard of have had saurie in them, ours too, haven't seen many skippy schools around at all this year

i dear say that as soon as the navy ship turned up they bailed - just speculation tho as they were off castle the other day and the navy ship is surveying there.

tournament rules allow to fish in, not allowed to leave your port untill 0600. should be a great comp. pity we dont have a way to id fishingnet members. good luck to those in comp but im feeling very luckyWink

all bribes will be distributed to my team.
 
a good briefing tonight, and the new marina looks bloody awesome. i will report tomorrows catch very late after meal and drinks.

 Right well im heading down this weekend and have finally managed to get a crew..will be chasing those bill fish all day...sounds like there is plenty of bait fish and bill fish being caught..weather looks great for the weekend...First weekend of game fishing for the season...Bring it on

Just back from a day on the briny ,saw three none in the lures ,something grabbed the bungy and literally ripped it off the back of the boat ,heard it go didn't see a thing Tone E would'nt venture too far from the Hook myself ,unless it gets really dead ,we started at the hook this morning didn't look that promising so decided to try wider zigzagged out to the 500m line ,the water got better but the temp didn't rise significantly ,didn't get above 21 anywhere we were today.Fish started getting hooked up at the Hook so about face and back in ,where we ran over the top of one it was about 5-10m down and I didn't see it til the last minute,thought it might turn and strike but it didn,t.All in all not much bait around today bugga all birds and the dolphin appeared to be a group of mums and younguns fooling around ,hot as in the sun and mirror like calm ,no skippies either

appaerntly there was a yellow fin caught yesterday - bit sloppy but a few fish hooked, lots a of makos in the closer reef systems.

havn't had the lures in much since last fish, da kingis been going off inshore, but had a couple of shots at 140m middle ground thurs on lumo grand slammer again over a couple of hours trying, jason from pure fishing got a stripey on a live albie 100m ne aldies on fri, sounds like south of the aldies went off in the whanga comp, good water everywhere north and south
