Plan is to leave AKL Friday afternoon and be off the Backbone by Sunday afternoon.

But that depeands on a) weather and if a) OK then b) there being some action worth covering 1000nm round trip for.

I'm sorry to say that we won't be seeing Waihau this year.

Original plan was to be leaving Great Mercury for White about now but Wilma has determined that I am sitting in Dairy Flat planning to leave Z Pier for points North in 24 hours time.

Never mind, there's always next year.

Thats no good David was hoping to catch up with you's on the water later in the week but as you say there's always nxt year.
Then again the bueaty about a trailer boat is you dont have to rely on a good forcast to make the trip down by sea.

the guy's on oceanside deserve their fish! They were leaving the camp at Whakatane as we towed in after the tournament was cancelled to head up to Waihau.

They certainly put in the hard yards!
