my 11 year old son and I trolled from bland bay up into russell on sunday.......hooked a nice stripey in 240m between queens bouy and main rock....my son played it for about 10 mins but it fell off.....didnt get into blue water untill outside the 200m mark but once into it its awesome......temperature soared from mid 18s to mid 22s and got better the further out you went....the water in the bay is fantastic and should be down toots way soon

Did the trench on da 4th round santas boot - masses of gannets out there with dolphins rounding up stuff in patches  - good water colour which went from bluey green to deep blue here and there.. couple of splashes seen in the distance -  just got a small mako rnd the 240 on the way in, got quite a few skippies rnd dat area also on way out - I'd be headin north ninepin ways but its only a matter of time b4 they head down there.. top water temp 22.8 in the arvo with .5 deg temp changes in areas

just been in touch with three mates one of which is strawberry, they are out north of the Knights.

They caught a blue marlin est 180kg got it to the boat in 13-15 mins and smashed it of on the leader after the gaff shot didn't go in, pissed it off and it tried to climb inside their Haines hunter 700.

They also have 3 mahi mahi
