6/12/13-went out with Stuck here for an evening fish got the boat in the water at 5:30 to fish the last half of the outgoing started around the island but nothing home (well of any size anyway) so we moved to a spot were all the water drains to on a falling tide got there about an hour before the 8pm slack tide and caught a couple of keepers right away but it was slow and when we left at 9pm we had 5 snapper 30-42 and a nice gurnard about 1.1-1.2kg
keep up the good work boys

7/12/13- well stuck here showed up this morning to help clean fish and boat after our late one last night we cleaned the fish but then thought bugger it the boats already dirty and has plenty of gas so off we went again we popped out to pretty much the same spot (a little shallower than yesterday) 1/2 hour out there no bites but just had to wait for the tide and as soon an the outgoing started it was on with a good amount off snaps and a few carrots coming aboard the wind got up and there was a good 5ft chop running so we called it quits and went back had had a beer and bowls of hot chips with daz 500 and his mate
got our catch checked by 2 fishery's guys very well mannered and helpful of Corse they didn't even measure a fish as they were all plenty legal

there was one small cluster **** for the day when we stopped to have a chat with tony from kaipara cat and lost grip on the wharf as we were just holding onto the wharf and we drifted under and snapped my brand new soft bait rod that was in the rod holder oops **** happens

tally for the day 22 snaps and 3 carrots
keep up the good work boys

Mate I've seen what you call light gear - shimano Tyrnos with 50kg braid on it. Good feed though

shot out after work for a couple hours & pulled up a bag full of 125mm + scallops then headed to an area that's holding some nice pannies picked up a few, jigging grubs seem to be the go at the moment , then doing the usual troll for kingis on the way home and what do you know a kingi grabs a soft plastic I was towing not massive just 90cm and big enough to feed a few families around xmass time ,
