I'm looking at building a gaff and just wondered if anyone had a 5'+ long section of old blank that I could procure? Anything like an old 37KG rod or surf rod would suffice. Prefer fiberglass. Needs to have an internal diameter of 8mm or more at the skinny end. Thanks in advance.

No I went straight out to look cause I hadn't seen it in a while.
 
Would have been perfect.
 
Funny how that works, I almost threw it out tons of times over the last few years and kept hanging on to it. musta biffed it in my autumn cleanup.
Now it's gone someone can use the thing...

Thanks Garry, I'm sure something will turn up. I have an old triton that I was going to use but by the time I shorten it to where the pointy end is at 8mm the thing is only a meter long and not really much good to me.
