Besides the obvious that it doesn't work, I think it lulls you into a false sense of security, and you tend to neglect your car more, things such as bird droppings, still will eat straight through your paintwork if left on car, tar still gets stuck to side and back of car etc.. and some of them say you don't even need to use soap to wash the car, resulting in a lot of scratches etc.
'Ever again' seems a bit optimistic..
It should last a few years.. During which the hydrophobic qualities should be very good.
Also consider OptiCoat.. Although I have not used it myself I plan on getting this done very soon to one of our cars.
