hi guys,

Just wondering what rod finish your all using?
Have seen not to epoxy the whole rod - you guys using rod finish over the whole rod? (not thread finish)

Prokote medium build on the wraps. If you are using a sanded blank off the bricks then it may pay to do a thin coat of a lite build epoxy or polyurethane finish from mudhole.

you only use the finish on the wraps? dont put a coat over the blank?

Normally you only coat the thread wraps.

If you were to paint the blank - would you just put a layer of polyurethane over it?

I saw a video of a guy coating his whole blank. He gave it a light sand but however if you painted it already you would not do this. he then coated the whole blank in CPXtra rod clear coat.
