Tickets for the ROctober fish are now available online at gofish.co.nz/roctober - easy as .

Or you can get them from Forsyth  or from Greg at GoFish on Lake Road in Northcote.

There's an early bird prize (2 nights free accommodation) so don't leave it too late ;)

I've got mine, see you there!

Cheers Brenton!

More news, we've just had confirmation that the NZ Fishing Competition measures we've accepted for Roctoberfish are also now one of the measures for New Zealand Length records.

There is a whole new category for length records across all the major sports fish we chase. Roctoberfish is a prime opportunity to land a New Zealand Record.

We'll have entry forms and memberships ($15 - hardly expensive!) on hand too.

Tickets are now available online :)
You can purchase them from www.gofish.co.nz/roctober or, if you prefer, you can come in to 48 Lake Road, Northcote and buy in person.
If you purchase online you'll be allocated your entry number immediately and you'll collect your ticket at registration before the event begins.
(Greg also has some specials that you'll probably enjoy, especially the super-cheap Owner hooks!)

And here's some insider info from Beached as bro

"For those of you interested...

Full moon is on the 30th.

The moonrise is approx 4.30PM and 5.30PM on the 26th and 27th. The hightide is at 1750 and 1842.

I would predict an afternoon bite time on the incoming tide in the 2-3hrs leading up to these moonrises then it dying off after the moon has risen. Hopefully it's a late weigh/measure in!

There may also be a bite when the moon is directly underneath which would be around 10am on the Friday and 11am on the Saturday which is about an hour before the low."

those North Shore boys look like they're hedging their bets on the weather! Only a couple from the NSSC so far.
The fishing up there has been sublime the last few weeks - def peaking on the moon too!

Can't wait to get there & fish HARD!
