Congrats Adam reckon you have picked it correctly altho am
a bit puzzled about the Tawa Rd bit.
Yeahany .... it runs from the bridge by the new Albany high school
thru to the bridge on Bush Rd. by Albany Timber. It is lies between
the main buldings of Massey Uni on the highway & the campus on
the Old Albany Highway.
Well worth walking thru as sure most will agree such a stand of timber
almost in the city is pretty amazing but what is even more amazing is
that very few people know it exists .... even nearby residents.
The main reason for posting this thread was to seek opinion on whether
the stream that runs thru it would support a population of trout & given
your qualifications you may be just the person to be able to tell us.
All I know is that it does meet some of the criteria such as being sheltered
from the sun by native forest & has adequate food resource such as koura,
small fish & nymph hatches.
It joins the stream that flows from behind the Albany Pub & becomes tidal/
estuarine behind the Albany village finally coming out at Greenhithe by which
time it is saltwater.
OK Rusky boy as the overall winner over to you to post a location to get us
guessing preferably with some connection to freshwater fishing.
