Seen people catch snapper from the rocks to the right of the beach, probably bought 400m round under the cliffs at change of light in late spring

I was visiting some friends who live in Stanmore Bay a couple of weeks ago and it seemed pretty shallow for a loooong way out! Is the south side of the peninsula better for fishing off the rocks?

I used to live in Arkles Bay and had a mate that lived directly accross from the beach also.
We had occasional success catching Snapper and the odd Gurnard from the beach opposite end to the boat ramp.
i favoured the point at the entrance to the Weiti river on and incoming tide, Casting into the channel.
