Post your details if you'd like to link up with others for fishing trips or days out. If it's a specialised fishing activity then you may be better to post in the appropriate forum. Landbased, jigging, free-diving and spearfishing, gamefishing, kayak fishing.

NB: This IS NOT a forum for people to be running non-commercial charter-like businesses and soliciting paying passengers, as it is a requirement that boats be in survey and MSA approved for charter activity.

Hey its Tim Taylor here. I'm always looking for ways to get out on the water. I only have the yak to get out on (which I do regularly) but I'm always keen to get out on a boat to go a bit further or chase bigger biteys.
- I live in Tauranga but I have transport and am willing to travel
- I am a full time athlete so my work schedule is extremely flexible and I can go at very short notice
- Fully prepared to pay my share of gas etc.
- I have a full compliment of gear- all my own game fishing gear, jigging, softbaiting and bottom fishing.
- I'm not a muppet, know my way around a boat, and if the opportunity arrose I'd be prepared to work for free as a deckhand to gain more experience.

Give me a call on 07 579 1293 or 027 6689904 (cell is always on).

Ok, I'm going to Tauranga for a couple of days on thursday, and want to do a spot of fishing while down there, Land based, or if you want to take me on your boat thats great :)
Anyone want to come? I dont know the area very well, and would appreciate any advice on where to go around the Mt, or off the beach near Papamoa ways.

Hi folks

I'm always keen to head out if someone has a spare spot or looking for a fishing buddy.
I currently just fish from my jetski but that can sometimes be a bit limiting due to weather etc (swell is sweet... wind chop not so good...)
Gamefishing, jigging, soft baiting, dirty old bait fishing - it's all good with me...
I've got most of my own gear (although a jigging set up is still on the list)

Does anyone have a spare spot available for the Whakatane Sports Fishing Club XMAS Hams competition this weekend?
Just settled in Whakatane after many years out of NZ, keen to get to know people in town.
Signed up to join the club this week so hoping to meet some locals to get to know a bit more about the area. Have a 3.5m tinny but no-one to join me so unable to enter the comp on my own due to the 2 angler rule.

Cheers,
Wayne 027 3466956 or 307 9375

edit - just saw this post bumped up and noticed I got my mobile number wrong, now corrected...
Have a 5m boat now and still getting to know the area but happy to go out with others and share costs or take up to 2 with me when I head out.

To be old and wise you must first be young and stupid.

Hey Gary,

I run a kayak fishing business and just saw your post about fishing buddies. If you're keen to get into fishing from a yak then give me a yell. I run a free fishing trip every Sunday morning called Sunday Sessions so that might be perfect for you. Kayak rental is just $50 a session if you don't have one.

Feel free to give me a bell.
