Tube flies have been around for ages and most of the big game Marlin/Mako fly guys swear by them. I have used them and they are fine but no real advantage for 90% of the fishing I do.

No doubt there's a place for them though and no doubt this is nothing new.... but a great method for marketing them and getting them to folks who haven;t seen them before.

Yeah, the salmon guys have used them for ages as well. That spinning spoon thing sort of takes away the 'fly fishing' part of it for me. And they're hellish to cast.
The few mates of mine who are fly salmonfishos use the tube from J&J Q-Tip cotton buds to tie their flies. You can buy tying vises made for tying tube flies as well.
But I think this is like a system? Dunno, didn't read all of it... LOL
