Hard work today out there. Came home with a decent feed of snapper though.

There were a lot of boats way out over the middle ground and a few in the shallow water by the back of Pakatoa. omebody asked over the radio if anybody had a good supply of fish but there was only negative answers. Most had the same as us with a few here 'n' there.

Moved around a bit and eventuaklly caught most of the 3lb fish from the mussel farm in by Waiheke after dusk!

May as well gone there in the morning.

But what a day. my companion was tickled pink to have such a good day off work!

Most surprising catch was a huge squid over 350mm long that came riding up on a sinker, not even hooked, some quick work with the landing net got it on board.

Should be a good weekend.

Ross
