Kaiks was calm and flat, but the vis sucked.  It was 2m, up to about 4 max.  Went to 'the' spot, and anything deeper than 4m or so had a real thick green murk.  I enjoyed getting wet, and a half hearted search saw me score a couple of bugs and 2 butters.  Saw a monster blue cod but of course, the gun was marking a cray hole.  He'll be there for next time.  Was only there for about 1hr - it was really just to get the guns.  Nice trip all the same.

It's looking like I'm house-bound now till end of the month at the weekends, but whilst there is still a little light in the evenings am up for a splash after work.  Been meaning to get over to Magnet Bay or similar so if that's looking handy will stick up here.

Morning all you Canty Spearo's.  So who's got the minerals to be giving this a go in a couple of weekends time?  It clashes for me, but I'm sure there's a few on here that will give the competition a run for their money.

There is also another comp in Kaikoura on the 5th or 6th of March. It is being run through the Hunting & fishing store there. Not sure of other details - hopefully someone will post.
