Ok guys, we touched on removing the propeller to inspect for fishing line. As we know fishing line can wreak havoc with the propeller shaft seals!

Anyone got a way to reduce the risk of fishing line wrapping around the prop shaft?

I have tanged my line around the prop a couple of times. Its been spinning in the current and caught the line. fishing three rods. Takes ages to unwrap at full arms length with a gaff in hand. So I guess raise the outboard or leave it in gear ?

Either that or tell everyone else to fish up at the pointy end.

Good man plastic, when fishing if you put the motor in gear in wont spin the current.

Wont stop line snagging, but it wont wrap it around 50 times!
