Most of you probably have fishing plans for this weekend given that it will be the first weekend for a while that will have favorable conditions.

I've stupidly made plans for that weekend that DONT involve fishing that I can't get out of so I'm keen to go out on 4th and 5th (Monday and Tuesday)

So if anyone is keen to go out to North Reef launching from Ngunguru to Jig for Kingfish and a little softplastic or baiting fishing action let me know. Welcome to stay at the Bach and doesn't cost much to get out there.

When I was out there during Easter only 3 or 4 cuda got hooked up over a solid 3 days of fishing. I wouldn't surprise be if there are few more out that way by now. A heap of Kingies there during easter averaging 10kg reaching 18kg.

Boat is a 19ft Ramco (aluminium) with a very reliable 75 Merc. It has made many trips out there without any problems.

Fishes 3 comfortably...... can do four but things start feeling a little squashed.

Sweet, I'm going to head up from Auckland on Sunday but will be staying up there for the week as there a few maintenance jobs to do.

Where are you based?

Will have to keep an eye on swellmap as well.

I'm supposed to be taking some guys out to North Reef next weekend weather permitting so if you wanna bring your boat along that would be fine. Away from the net for the next week so you can contact me on 0211871382.
