Lake Rotorua's surface water temperature was 16.9 degrees Cat 2pm this afternoon.  There is a definate trend downwards as expected at this time of the year.  Algae levels are still high but dropping overall.  Currently it is 14 degrees C and we are expecting a high of 16 degrees.  The wind is SSW at 8kph and increasing.  The outlook for tomorrow is for fine weather and 18 degrees, cloudy and 19 degrees for Sunday.  The UV Index is high at 6.  Sunrise tomorrow will be around 6.42 and sunset this evening will be at 5.54pm.

Lake Rotoiti's surface water temperature is stable at 17.2 degrees C.

There are a few fish hanging around the No.1 stream at Ruato Bay, nothing huge but all are in great condition.

The Ohau Channel is holding fish, though most are smallish and in very good condition.  Grey ghosts are working well and the trout being caught are full of up to 50mm smelt.
