Lake Rotorua's surface water temperature rose just under two degrees C between 6am and 3pm this afternoon.  Algae levels have dropped to 1.9 from 3.3. Barometric pressure has dropped one point to 1016.2hPa and humidity has dropped  from 72% to 46$.  The wind is slightly north of West at 17.64 kph. The UV Index is very high at 8. Showers were forecast for today but never eventuated.  Sunset is 7.23pm and sunrise tomorrow is at 7.23am.

Lake Rotoiti's surface water temperature is stable at 18.3  degrees C.  The thermocline is below 14 metres.

Lake Okataina produced some nice fish from 26 metres down using a yellow/gold cobra.  A few fish have been returning to the main beach but we need another low to come through to stimulate them further.
