Anchor points 3.5mm ss (Hand shaped)
Roller bridle bridges 3.2mm ss (Hand Shaped) 90mm length
Rollers: meandros 16mm
Roller side brackets: carbon fibre 2mm (Hand shaped)
muzzle line guide and line guide by trigger: Old Bike spoke

Anchor points and kicker band screws are screwed into M5 ss inserts (16mm in depth)   piece of mind with the inserts,i wouldn't feel to safe using normal wood screws under such loads.

Damn, I've been looking for M5 ss inserts for ages, only finding galvanised. I just bought two trigger, reels, line and shafts, so pretty keen on covering my lungs with a bit of dust again. But not going for roller just yet.
How do you rate the AR 15 handle? Did you order it from the states?

absolutely recommend the ss inserts pretty pricey here in oz,$5 each! but they are the ****.have used galv ones but tend to start to corrode on first few dives.

yeah rollers can be abit up and down....hard to tune if you build the wrong combo. My first 2 guns are banded guns which are awesome...till i built a roller

AR 15 handle is choice az,might try the scew in version over the pinned version next time.you can thin the stock abit more on a screw in hande. ordered form oz,they have a neptonics here and im sure the post to NZ too.

Good to see some action back on here (nearly check it every day out of habbit).. Nice gun!! We went out South Coast on the weekend. Winter temps have arrived. 4-6 hazy metres of vis. Harrison shot a few butters with his hawaian sling. Will.I.am got his groove on with a few paua. I bagged a cray and not much else. Saw a few fellas at the gate on the way home who got to meet a 6ft sharkie back towards the lighthouse.

Sweet – thanks for the link Rambro. Seems like they have a branch here in NZ too, will drop them a line.
Do you think a brass insert/screw combo may work too?

yeah i use brass inserts as well,i used them for things like reel mount brackets, roller side plates anything that isn't under much load...but im sure they could handle it tho.

if you end up using inserts use the bolt and double nut method to screw them in.some brass inserts have like a flat head notch which i thought was how u screw them in....eeeehhhh wrong, ended up snapping the brass insert midway in my gun...what a pain.

Tada! just bought these for $12…
Thanks for the tip on how to mount them. I'm sure I'd 'screwed' them up the same way

Yes, M5. I'm currently travelling and found a specialist store in walking distance. Unfortunately only brass no 304 or 316 ss inserts. They said it can be ordered, but would have to take 100 min. and wait a while, so I grabbed what they have had in the back instead.
Trigger are Ermessub Back and shafts are sporasub in 7mm

Hey Klaus when you get back theres an anzor outlet in Ngauranga gorge, they have pretty much everything in stainless and at good prices.

Hit south coast at a new spot with Tuco and a new immigrant yeasterday. Viz got up to probably around 8m before dropping back down to 3-4. Was still 13 degrees but after 3 hours in my holey 5mm, I got a little cold and sleepy/forgetful so decided to get out. Lots of smal;l crays around. Managed to get a couple of cod and a moki on the hawaiian sling. Nice to see some sun for a change.

does anyone have any suggestions of where would be good places for a shore dive in the Marlborough Sounds? not asking for spot X, just general areas.

Keep the trip reports coming, Crippy.
Tuco is very keen on a July scallop dive.
