on a regular basis.  Better know as Simon who runs the www.coarsefishing.co.nz website, he and almost all his koi fishing buddies on this site return koi illegally to New Zealand waterways. They hate DOC and Fish and Game who monitor his site.  DOC needs the funds to stop people like them from releasing these fish after capture. A good start would be to confiscate their fishing tackle and vehicles they use and be treated in the same way as any other person who breaks NZ laws.  Why does someone who takes 10 times their limit of cockles get busted but these guys walk free?  A lot of carp anglers on his site are ignorant imports who know the laws but choose to break them as this is their culture (to catch and release).  They discuss amongst themselves about how to hide their fishing antics from DOC.  Simon administers that website and deletes threads and photos which show fish bigger than he could hope to catch.  He deleted a photo of a koi I caught because it was dead.????  The guy needs help.  By the way I love Bowfishing for Koi.  They make great snapper bait.  LOL Wink
