Might get the stealth wet after work on Thursday. Probably the last midweek evening session of the season.

You reckon it will be fairly sheltered this weekend, if the wind stays SE ?

Surprised no one is keeping these occys for the table, prime food when cooked correctly. Octopus carpaccio or just grilled on the coals, yum as

I'd be keen to give it a go, but I doubt my food prep skills. Maybe at our next meet up you can bring some freshly prepared D ? Just get hold of Wayne for fresh produce LOL

I remember having it a few times when I was living down in Wellington, a few greek mates (well their mums) would usually have it at most big occasions. Quite a heavy marinade and then BBQ'd I think. Some times it was a little chewy but tasty enough, seemed to be a bit of a favourite for them.
Not sure how you would dispatch it on the kayak, conjures up images of giant squids attacking old whaling ships!

I wouldn’t want to deal with one on the kayak. I have a memory from when I was about 6, dad speared one with his hawaiian sling at slipper island and it climbed up the spear and messed with his goggles, then when he got it back to the boat it clung onto the prop, then when he started the outboard it switched over to the auxiliary 😎 I think it earned its freedom minus a couple of tentacles 🐙

Not liking that weather, may try Army Bay tomorrow morning early, (to stay away from the octopuses!) anyone fished the peninsula lately?

Actually changed my mind hopefully my mate catches the occy and not me!
