KK you provided me with a hysterical laughing fit that day so thanks for that 😄

Do you still have the unofficial largest Kingfish caught and weighed from a kayak in NZ ?
37kgs wasn't it.

Few good snapper caught off bays tonight by local yaker pulling his yak past about 4pm. Good stuff as wasn’t that calm out today. Oh to be retired like him and fit. Big yak 4.7 ocean kayak with a bixby in it.
Reckoned he turtled it pretty good on Saturday.

ahh humbug ... it’s got a motor ... still looks like kayak to me with a thing like a hairdryer attached somewhere ... still trying to figure where that bit goes... anyway same guy got a meter long kingfish off here on a slider couple of weeks ago, so has my respect.
Dan the bixby opens up a whole new world to disabled fisherman surely your not going to exclude them.
Footnote:neither I nor fellow called Dave (man in question)  are particularly disabled. But after few more reds (most nights) probably heading that way after 5pm...so feathering my bed. Seriously though I’ll paddle till I die... absolutely love paddling a kayak since I was a kid.

I would love to see how fast I could make the stealth go with a bixby + my carbon wing paddle but I could never bring myself to pay that much for a motor for a kayak.

Dan I seem to remember seeing someone get a wee tow from Roheet, quite some time back on his 'powered' kayak ...Wink or doesn't it count if its not actually on your vessel ?

Yeah I’ve been a bit slack. Went out first weekend of L3 and got a few pannies but not been since. Bit reluctant to with no wash down, and have done a mischief to my shoulder, playing too much golf I think. Excuses excuses.

Went out with a couple of mates in real close to a local beach, launched about 11.30, fished pillie chunks & anchovies on light gear and we ended up with 14 snapper between us. Back ashore in the spa with a vodka by 3pm.

We were only in about 4m.
